Queen Quet Continuing to Write the Pages of Gullah/Geechee Ourstory & Black History!
Queen Quet, Chieftess of the Gullah/Geechee Nation (www.QueenQuet.com) and her Gullah/Geechee histo-musical presentation troupe, “De Gullah Cunneckshun” have set out on another edutainment world tour to raise funds and awareness for the “Gullah/Geechee Land & Legacy Fund.” “De Gullah/Geechee Land & Legacy” tour started with an interview on OUR COMMON GROUND followed by a special edition of Gullah/Geechee Riddim Radio focused on Black History Month 2014 (http://www.blogtalkradio.com/gullahgeechee/2014/02/03/living-black-history-een-de-gullahgeechee-nation-2014).
After linking with the global online community of Gullah/Geechee Nation supporters, Queen Quet returned to the Francis Marion University campus in Florence, SC where she presented “Gullah/Geechee: A Timeless Legacy.” The Morning News did outstanding coverage of the event with this article:

They will journey from the coastline inland and southward for future stops including a book, CD, and DVD signing in Ocala, Florida on Monday, February 10, 2014 which can only be attended if you RSVP to the Gullah/Geechee Sea Island Coalition and public presentations at Davidson College in North Carolina on Thursday, February 13, 2014 before continuing the “Gullah/Geechee Living History Series” at the St. Helena Branch Library on Saturday, February 15, 2014.
