at the Hunting Island Nature Center
Saturday, September 14, 2013 Noon-5 pm
Queen Quet, Chieftess of the Gullah/Geechee Nation (www.QueenQuet.com) and the founder of the Gullah/Geechee Sea Island Coalition (www.gullahgeechee.net) invites you to come spend the afternoon enjoying Gullah/Geechee cuisine and interactive marine education activities. Become a part of citizen science activities with the Gullah/Geechee Sustainability Think Tank. Participate in cast net demonstrations by Capt. Legree and go fishing and crabbing from Paradise Pier. Gullah/Geechee films will be shown inside the Hunting Island Nature Center.
Admission is FREE.
Food, books, CDs, DVDs, and Gullah/Geechee crafts will be on sale.
