Gullah/Geechee September 2024 Celebrations
As we fall into fall, it’s time to celebrate cultural heritage continuation with the native Gullah/Geechees y’all! Cum fa jayn we een SC!
Friday, September 6, 2024 from 5-8 pm a Gullah/Geechee land fundraiser will be held at Penn Center, Inc. on historic St. Helena Island, SC. Please come out and enjoy a fish fry and community gathering. Tickets can be purchased in advance at the Welcome Center at Penn Center or you can purchase a dinner on site.

Saturday, September 7, 2024 from Noon to 3 pm, the Gullah/Geechee Famlee and supporters will gather on historic St. Helena Island for “Gullah/Geechee Agroculture & Gullah/Geechee CREATE Day.”
This intergenerational environmental enhancement and engagement day requires advance registration at
The Gullah/Geechee Famlee will close out the month in Charleston, SC at the annual “Gullah Moja Art Experience” on Saturday, September 28th from Noon to 3 pm. Cum jayn we een Chucktown!
