Tune in as Bronx Flavor on Bronx Net TV in New York features the Gullah/Geechee Nation for the second time. This time, the focus goes on two of Beaufort County, SC’s native Gullah/Geechees that both took steps from the sands of the Sea Islands to the concrete jungle of New York and ended up in the Bronx. They’ve both DJ’d. They’ve both dance. They both remember where they came from. This Gullah/Geechee duo of the two episodes of Bronx Flavor by Baron Ambrosia are DJ Jazzy Jay who made the Bronx his home and Queen Quet, Chieftess of the Gullah/Geechee Nation (www.QueenQuet.com) who simply passed through the borough during a brief stay. The journey for both of them was to and with family that had been homegrown in Beaufort County, SC.
