De Gullah/Geechee Nation gwine be 25 years old een 2025! Disya bless up fa tru! So, there will be numerous events each month to celebrate this historic time! Jayn we fa de partee ya! The party will begin in Savannah, GA where the Gullah/Geechee Nation Constitution was written. Join the Gullah/Geechee and Oyotunji Famlee at the “Gullah/Geechee Grand African Ball” on Saturday, March 1st. Tickets are on sale at

The party continues later in the month as the Gullah/Geechee Famlee gathers on historic St. Helena Island, SC for the “Gullah/Geechee Indigo Ball” which will be hosted by Queen Quet, Chieftess of the Gullah/Geechee Nation.

The party continues northward up the coast as the first “Gullah/Geechee Grown Folks Getaway” heads to Myrtle Beach, SC April 4th-6th! The weekend will be filled with down home Gullah/Geechee fun as funds are raised for the “Gullah/Geechee Land & Legacy Fund.” Gullah/Geechee adult bus groups are encouraged to come and enjoy the getaway!
