#GullahGeechee2020 is affording those that seek the TRUTH about Gullah/Geechee culture the opportunity to attend two conferences sponsored by native Gullah/Geechees. Gullah/Geechee herbalists, doula, and massage therapist, Khetnu Nefer of A Soulful Touch Wellness will host the 1st Gullah/Geechee Herbal Conference at Future Farms in North Charleston, SC in the Gullah/Geechee Nation on Saturday. March 14, 2020.

A wide array of activities will take place throughout the event and there will be healing items on sale as well as Queen Quet’s new novels. One of the novels center on the healing, herbal, and spiritual practices of a Gullah/Geechee family and how they use this to protect and sustain their land.

In order to sustain herbal practices, Gullah/Geechee land must be sustained. To that end, the Gullah/Geechee Sustainability Think Tank continues to work to resource the Gullah/Geechee Nation with tools via capacity building activities throughout the year. The annual conference at which they engage with the public and others that are interested in coastal resilience and sustainability efforts is the “Coastal Cultures Conference.” This event will be held at the Hunting Island Nature Center on Hunting Island, SC in the Gullah/Geechee Nation on Saturday, March 7, 2020.
