@GullahGeechee Nation Stands Up for and with Gwich’in of the Arctic Against Oil Drilling

The Arctic National Wildlife Refuge is one of our nation’s most majestic public lands. It is home to the Porcupine Caribou Herd, denning polar bears, musk oxen, wolves, and nearly 200 species of migratory birds. It has also supported the Indigenous People of the Gwich’in Nation for thousands of years. Activists from the Gwich’in Nation visited the Gullah/Geechee Nation in the past and they became allies in cultural preservation. So, they are standing united together to fight drilling in the Arctic Wildlife Refuge. Tune in to the Gullah/Geechee TV coverage of a press conference to this effect which was held in Charleston, SC in the Gullah/Geechee Nation:
Individuals, organizations and businesses can sign on to support protecting the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge now and into the future by going to https://arcticrefugedefense.org/
