The Arctic National Wildlife Refuge has also supported the Indigenous People of the Gwich’in Nation for thousands of years. Activists from the Gwich’in Nation visited the Gullah/Geechee Nation in the past and they became allies in cultural preservation. So, they are standing united together to fight drilling in the Arctic Wildlife Refuge.
