
Jasper County Proclaims Gullah/Geechee Nation Appreciation Week 2019
Jasper County, SC has proclaimed “Gullah/Geechee Nation Appreciation Week 2019!” This year, Queen Quet, Chieftess of the Gullah/Geechee Nation (www.QueenQuet.com) will actually present in that county on August 1, 2019 at 5 pm at the Morris Center for Lowcountry Heritage. The event is open to the public with advance registration at

“Tru de Eyes of de Gullah/Geechee: Plantations of the Lowcountry” will be an interactive discussion in conjunction with the exhibition, “Beyond the Oaks: Lowcountry Plantations.”
