In addition to these, we were proud to be able to announce that the International African American Museum (IAAM) had finally reached the $75 Million goal.  The ground breaking for this long awaited institution will be at the beginning of 2019.

The achieving of the fundraising goals for these projects will assist the leaders of the Gullah/Geechee Nation with continuing the daily work that is done.  This work exemplifies the Black Philanthropy Month theme for 2018 “For the Culture For the Future.”   So, even as the month comes to an end, they are calling on global supporters, family, and friends to choose at least one of the fund raising efforts to contribute to in order for all of the goals to be met.  It is important to keep the Gullah/Geechee culture alive for the present day and for the future.  Living the traditions always has an economic component attached to it.  So, we pray that there are those that will support us and will contribute to it.

Tenki Tenki ta all wha dun gee disya month ob philanthropy.
