Jayn we fa Shout at de Brick Baptist Church!
Brick Baptist Church and the Gullah/Geechee Sea Island Coalition invite you to join us for a community sing and film screening on Wednesday, August 16 from 6:30-8:30pm at the Brick Baptist Church Annex on St. Helena Island, SC in the Gullah/Geechee Nation. We will share a series of short films about the tradition of lining hymns and their importance today. The Spiritual Technologies films feature members of our community, including Mrs. Minnie Gadson, Queen Quet, Chieftess of the Gullah/Geechee Nation, and Deacons Joseph and Phil McDomick of Brick Baptist Church. During this gathering, we will meet the artists who made the films, screen the films, and then have a community sing and devotional service. This event will be video recorded.
Here is a preview of the film:
Please come join us for food, film, fellowship, singing, testifying, and a shoutin’ good time!

I missed the festival this year 2017. Would like to attend 2018. Do you have a date yet? Planning group tour from Baltimore, MD. 25-30 people. Travel agent needs date of 2018 festival please.
Peace Ms. Moore!
Please make sure that any future inquiries about the festival are placed at the festival website: http://www.gullahgeechee.info The festival is always the first weekend of August. It will be in Charleston next year and not on St. Helena Island. Details will be released when tickets go on sale right after Labor Day as the info does annually. See you next year!
