Gullah/Geechee Movement from the Middle Passage to this Moment

In honor of Middle Passage Month in the Gullah/Geechee Nation and the International Decade of People of African Descent, Queen Quet, Chieftess of the Gullah/Geechee Nation (www.QueenQuet.com) hosted “Gullah/Geechee Movement from the Middle Passage to this Moment” on International World Peace Day 2015.  This happens to coincide with her “Gullah/Geechee Land & Legacy World Tour” stop in New York City for Climate Week.

On this episode of “Gullah/Geechee Riddim Radio” she challenged the listeners to make their moves have meaning that will be beneficial to the future generation.  She also called on them to showing respect to the African ancestors that had the strength to survive the Middle Passage and to honor them for what they went through by holding on to the land and respecting and protecting it and the waterways of the coast.  Tune een fa yeddi we sho-Gullah/Geechee Riddim Radio!

    Peace and blessings to everyone in the Gullah Geechee Nation.You know that is something that is so true and that is honoring to the ancestors who came before us and brought us all to where we are.And also, the extraordinary work that Queen Quet is continuing to do on so many fronts.
