
WEBE de Gullah/Geechee Living Legacy
In celebration of Gullah/Geechee Nation Appreciation Week 2021, Queen Quet, Chieftess of the Gullah/Geechee Nation (www.QueenQuet.com) will bring to life the outstanding Gullah art of Lisa Gilyard-Rivers at the Legacy Art Gallery in Beaufort, SC on Friday, August 6, 2021.
This interactive cultural evening will be part of the First Fridays that takes place on Bay Street. Folks should come into the Beaufort Marketplace to find the Legacy Art Gallery and enjoy some Gullah/Geechee refreshments and purchase artwork from Lisa Gilyard-Rivers and also autographed books and CDs from Queen Quet as the evening begins at 5 pm. At 6 pm, Queen Quet will do a Gullah/Geechee histo-musical presentation. E gwine be a time!
