
Colleton County, SC @GullahGeechee Celebrates Queen Quet’s 20 Years of Service
Queen Quet, Chieftess of the Gullah/Geechee Nation (www.QueenQuet.com) celebrates 20 years of helping promote literacy and teaching about the cultural heritage and legacy of the Gullah/Geechee Nation at the Colleton County Memorial Library.

Due to the fact that the summer reading program presentations are being done virtually in the interest of public safety, the Gullah/Geechee Family in Walterboro, SC sent this video out to the world honoring and thanking Queen Quet for her 20 years of service in their community:

Queen Quet took the time to share from one of her two new children’s books, “The Sandman’s Daughter” which she wrote in collaboration with Robin Carter. The book was illustrated by artist, Al Hawkins. Tune een fa yeddi disya wid de chillun:
