
Queen Quet on Gullah/Geechee Land & Legacy International Education Journey
Queen Quet, Chieftess of the Gullah/Geechee Nation (www.QueenQuet.com) is concluding 2015 on the “Gullah/Geechee Land & Legacy World Tour.” This three year tour will culminate with the final leg of taking place for the entirety of 2016. The journey has taken Queen Quet to many cities around the world to educate people on the Gullah/Geechee story and to raise funds for the continued work of the Gullah/Geechee Sea Island Coalition, the Gullah/Geechee Angel Network, and their partnering organizations and institutions.
During November 2015, Queen Quet visited several cities and Co-Chair, the Heritage Days Celebration on her home island of St. Helena, and is now celebrating “International Education Week” with United Nations supporters and collaborators as well as with Widener University’s international students during their “International Week” which is open to all campus wide. Queen Quet‘s keynote address is also open to the public on Thursday, November 19, 2015 at 5:30 pm at the Founders’ Hall on campus.
