Pan African Family Empowerment Network Seeks Volunteers
As “Gullah/Geechee Nation Volunteer Month” continues, we are pleased to announce that the Pan-African Family Empowerment Network which is a Beaufort-based public charity which was created to help Gullah/Geechee and other African descendants save their land for current and future generations is seeking volunteers for multiple positions. They have an immediate need for an experienced webmaster, grants writers, and appointment schedulers. Also needed are committed fundraising event volunteers; community outreach presenters; and office clerks willing to assist landowners with filling out paperwork for homestead exemptions; tax rate reductions; installment property tax payments; and referrals to agricultural, and heirs’ property title clearing programs.
These volunteer positions are ideal for college interns, retirees, and those looking for an effective way to make a difference through community service programs. Volunteer hours are flexible.
Training for all volunteers will be held at the Pan-African Family Empowerment Network’s office at One Beaufort Town Center 2015 Boundary Street Suite 224 in Beaufort, SC. For more information, call 843-592-6076.
