
Afro-Spirituality-Condomblé,Yoruba, Juju: Lorenzo D. Turner from Brazil to Gullah/Geechee
Queen Quet, Chieftess of the Gullah/Geechee Nation will open the Black History Month 2021 celebration on Zooming in on Sustainability by zooming in on Afro-spirituality with a specific focus on the links between Condomblé, Yoruba and Juju.
Featured guests will be Alase Oba Adefunmi II of Oyotunji African Village, and filmmakers, Cassio Nobre and Xavier Vatin. These filmmakers were part of a Gullah/Geechee TV (GGTV) episode on Gullah/Geechee and Brazil and a historic project linking Brazil and the Gullah/Geechee Nation:
Zooming in on Sustainability will provide more details on the journey of this project and reconnection of these aspects of Afro-spirituality and how these are practiced in Brazil and amongst the Gullah/Geechee. Tune een fa yeddi.
