
Zooming in on Coastal Sustainability Scientifically
Join Queen Quet, Chieftess of the Gullah/Geechee Nation (www.QueenQuet.com) for the second episode of “Zooming in on Sustainability.” Her guest on Wednesday, June 10, 2020 at 3 pm will be Kate Cell of the Union of Concerned Scientists.

Tune in for the second episode of “Zooming in on Sustainability” for a dialogue between Queen Quet, Chieftess of the Gullah/Geechee Nation and Kate Cell of the Union of Concerned Scientists (UCS). Kate Cell is the climate campaign manager for the Climate & Energy Program at the Union of Concerned Scientists. She works with UCS members, supporters, activists, and experts to build support for the campaign efforts of the Climate and Energy program. She specializes in engaging economists and health and medical professionals to help reduce carbon emissions. She also helped create the UCS economists network, as well as expand the organization’s outreach efforts to Latinos and African-Americans. Kate is the former director of Economists for Peace and Security, an organization that works with the United Nations on issues of peace, conflict, war, and the world economy.
