#GullahGeechee Sacred Ancestor, The Beach Lady MaVynee Oshun Betsch of Jacksonville and American Beach, FL. She was a world renown opera diva and dancer as well as a powerful environmental activist. Queen Quet, Chieftess of the Gullah/Geechee Nation (www.QueenQuet.com) was presented with the inaugural MaVynee Betsch Environmental Award by Earthwise Productions. Both of them received the “Black Herstory Award” for their works keeping Black History and Black land ownership alive.

For “International Women’s Day,” hostess Queen Quet, Chieftess of the Gullah/Geechee Nation (www.QueenQuet.com) honored De Gullah/Geechee Ooman wha Choose to Challenge. Yeddi disya bout Gullah/Geechee Civil Rights activists, Septima P. Clark, Mary Moultrie, and Amelia Boynton Robinson and de Gullah/Geechee Nation‘s human rights leaders.
