The mission of the Fuller Park Community Development Corporation is “to develop a forum to discuss the perspectives, research and solutions related to five environmental themes; environmental justice, environmental education, green jobs, green development/industry & urban agriculture. “
The goals of the conference will remain true to the mission of bringing together leaders from minority communities to educate and inform the public. This “grass-roots” conference is shaped to evolve into a regional and national conference especially in cities that suffer from social and environmental issues similar to Chicago with large populations of disadvantaged, minority or immigrant populations.
Fuller Park Community Development Corporation serves over 10,000 families annually through multiple services including Eden Place Nature Center. Together with our partners and sponsors the URBAANE Conference brings together a population of people that otherwise would have no collective voice regarding issues such as climate change policies, environmental education and diversity within environmental careers.
